Identifying effective workplace basic skills strategies enhancing employee productivity and development

The aims of the project are to identify when and how workplace basic skills programmes are effective in improving adults’ measured language, literacy and numeracy skills; and to assess the effectiveness of workplace programmes on productivity (for example, sickness and
absence rates, job satisfaction) and other lifecourse variables (employment stability, earnings, promotion, enrolment in further educational programmes, quality of life).
