'No matter how many times you save the world, it always gets in jeopardy again', so says Bob Parr who used to be one of the world's greatest superheroes, Mr. Incredible. Having been out of action for 15 years, things have taken a downturn for this previously incredible family. Bob, who once looked comfortable in lycra, and his wife Helen, aka Elastigirl, have taken assumed identities and now live very ordinary lifestyles with their three children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. Thrilled at the prospect of some adventure, Bob accepts a mysterious invitation to a remote island to take part in what he hopes will be a secret mission. When Bob goes missing, desperate circumstances force the family to pool their special powers and unite in one last attempt to save him and the world. Will their life of domestic chores and everyday responsibilities ever be the same now that they've added world saving to the daily agenda? Brad Bird directs, writes and even voices the character of Edna in this his first film for Pixar. The studio's status as the only guaranteed hit maker in the business is safe in Bird's assured hands. The continuing quest to push the boundaries of 3D animation reaches a further milestone with The Incredibles being the first Pixar film to successfully and credibly portray human characters throughout. After their hugely successful trip to the Festival with Monsters Inc, we are delighted to continue our relationship with Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures by presenting the European premiere of The Incredibles.
