| How have the teacher education reforms of September 2007 impacted on training for ALLN teachers? This report draws on an analysis of national HESA, SVUK and ILR datasets over a three-year period from 2006 to 2009. It also draws on in-depth discussions with HE and FE providers of literacy, numeracy and ESOL teacher training to explore current and emerging issues. What changes have there been to the training offer and the cohort of trainees and what do we need to be concerned about if we continue to aspire to a fully qualified workforce. |
