Innovating Learning: using technology for greater access, different content and better outcomes

Annual digital learning conference brought to you jointly by NIACE and the BBC.

Tuesday 4 December 2012, Salford

Event fee (incl. sandwich lunch, tea/coffee):

£85 (NIACE members)
£125 (non members)

The opportunities to widen participation, transform delivery and improve outcomes through technology are available and advancing rapidly, but to understand and adapt to them we need dialogue between policy makers, providers and  the practitioners who are doing it already.

Now NIACE, working jointly with the BBC, are running a conference that opens those discussions, showcases some examples and, through our Digital Practitioner Awards, gives recognition to those leading the way. We're delighted to announce that the Learning Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and Skills Funding Agency are supporting these awards, the winners of which receive £300 prize and a free ticket for them and their nominator to this high profile event. Details of how to nominate are available on the NIACE website.

The conference takes place on Tuesday 4 December 2012 at the BBC's flagship studios at MediaCity, Manchester. It will feature a range of high profile speakers, including:

Eben Upton, Executive Director of Raspberry Pi foundation;
Saul Nasse, controller of BBC Learning; and
Steve Stanley HMI, OFSTED's Principal Officer for Adult Skills & Employment
