Heading for Success

Heading for Success uses the power of football to motivate adults to improve their literacy, language and numeracy skills.

Top Premier League and Football League clubs have teamed up with education providers to deliver Skills for Life teaching in a football-based context.  Supporters of clubs including Manchester United, Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic, Norwich City, Stockport County and Brighton & Hove Albion can now hone their learning skills either at their club or local college.

The latest developments from the Heading for Success partnership can be found in the News and if you want to know more about your local Heading for Success partnership go to the Partners and read more about what they offer.

Those participating in Heading for Success projects can also find teaching materials and network with other practitioners on the Resources and Forum sections. Click here for a set of exceptionally useful football-contextualised resources developed by Milton Keynes College.

If you are a football club (any level) or a provider and want to use the power of football to motivate your learners to improve their reading, writing and number skills, the Heading for Success scheme could be for you.
